I have used this tool with the original style whips as well as with the new EZ hands free whip. In my opinion, this tool is best suited for cleaning and changing metal screens in a classic style whips. It works acceptably well with the newer EZ whip system, but I would only advise its usage only if you plan to use metal screens and glass parts rather than ceramic components. In my experience, this tool, even with careful use, will scratch and eventually cause chipping and cracks with the newer EZ ceramic screens and ceramic whip accessories.
My final quibble with the tool in general is that it feels under-crafted -- the handle end comes to a blunt useless end rather than incorporating a ball point tip or some type of scupula or really anything to make it feel multi-functional. Also, and this is just me being extremely picky, but why not titanium over steel? ;)
