Everyone once in a while one of our followers on Instagram ask us how we choose a winner for the many vaporizer giveaways we feature. Depending on the rules, we usually ask our followers to like the photo we post announcing the contest. They can earn extra entries by commenting or reposting the photo. As followers like the photo, we keep a spreadsheet going and assign a number in the order the likes are received (the first person to like the photo is #1). If they do something to earn extra entries we will add a + and the number of additional entries after their name. Once the contest is closed, all the followers with additional entries get added to a list that is tacked onto the bottom of all the likes. This list will get edited and repeat several times depending on the number of additional entries earned. Once the list is complete we use an online random number generator site to choose the winner for us. Prior to announcing the winner, we contact them via their profile to inform them that they won. After getting a response from the winner we make the big announcement on our profile with a new photo like the one we used below for the Vaporbrothers portable vaporizer contest.
