Now this is something that people seem to be asking about all of the time, and it is something that I would not recommend. There is really little reason to try and build your own, home grown, vaporizer. I don't think that burning down your house or making something that could potentially start a fire is something you want to whip up in your garage. Plus, we are talking about something that could potentially produce harmful toxins that your body will ingest. The prices of vaporizers like the Vapor Brothers, Vapor Doc and Vapor Warez vaporizers are relatively inexpensive these days and the build quality has improved dramatically since the "early days." Do all of us a favor and don't try this at home!
