The innovation continues at Vaporbrothers

September 2nd, 2009

Any day now VaporWarehouse will receive the latest revolutionary design from Vaporbrothers in the form of the Vaporbrothers Easy Change Whip Kit.  Unlike previous Ez Change Whips from other manufacturers that use plastic, metal, and/or glues, Vapor Brothers has eliminated the use of any of these materials.  Even the screen will be made of pure porcelain ceramic just like their heat element.  In addition, the top can be removed much faster than having to unscrew the piece holding the screen like you have to with the other vaporizer whips.  It will literally be a snap to change the screen.

Customer Question Answered

September 1st, 2009

Q: I have read that vapor brothers is going to release a new whip with a porcelain ceramic screen and that the steel screens in the vaporwarehouse will be replaced with these.  So does this mean that the old whips will also be able to use these new screen, or will I have to buy a new whip if i wish to use them?
A: Vaporbrothers is going to release a new Easy Change Whip Kit in the next few weeks.  This kit will include ceramic screens, in addition the 10mm Mini Screens will also work with the new Easy Change Whip Kit.  Because they are not flexible the new Vaporbrothers ceramic screens will not work with the current Vaporbrothers whips (Regular, Hands Free, or Mini).

Vaporbrothers will continue to produce their stainless steel screens and VaporWarehouse will carry both the new ceramic and the classic stainless steel screens.  Vaporbrothers will continue to include the classic whip that currently ships with all new vaporizers.  The Vaporbrothers EZ change Whip Kit will be available as an additional purchase.

Animal Tricks

August 6th, 2009

This next blog has absolutely nothing to do with Vaporbrothers (or does it?) but everything to do with one’s creative use of time.  Something we really appreciate here at VaporWarehouse.  Check out our filmmaker friend’s latest video from the crazy mind of Sanjiban Sellew.

A Q&A with Vaporbrothers

May 18th, 2009

Q: Hello.  I love my Vaporbrothers Vaporizer. I am writing to learn how best to operate it with lifespan in mind.  What components are most likely to fail, and what can I do to avoid failure?
A: Most likely thing to happen is your screen gets clogged, or the glass (especially hands free) gets knocked on something and breaks.  For this it’s always good to have some extra whips around.  I prefer the Vaporbrothers 5 pack miniwhip, which is not hands free, but inexpensive and works very well.  There are tons of tips and tricks available online at our fan website, Vapor Brothers You Tube Fan Page.

Q: How does the ceramic element fail?
A: It is a random event.  They are very reliable but at times some will burn out.  To provide the right temperature in the Whip for a good vapor hit, the heater gets very hot inside and can be delicate.  We’re constantly working on it to chase down any sources of failure.

Q: After my herbs are depleted, I have been turning the unit to off and pulling a few lungfulls of air over the element to cool it.Is this a good idea or a bad idea?
A: I think it’s unnecessary because forced cooling could only stress the element more.

Q: Does time at temperature cause deterioration of the ceramic element?
A: It used to be that way with our metal heating elements.  But with the ceramic, it seems no amount of time really deteriorates them.  Except for the few random ones that fail, the ones that survive are as hot now as they were years ago.

Q: Or should I leave the whip attached, so that the ceramic element cools as slowly as possible?  No thermal shock possibility.
A: Would only help, but beware of other problems could happen because of that.  As the glass cools and shrinks, the hands free connection could become locked together.

Q: I am careful to use the unit on hard flat surfaces, so that the cooling holes on the bottom have full access to airflow.
A: Great.  Soft surfaces are OK too– we just emphasized the hard surface because fuzzy/carpeted/couch surfaces will cause overheating.

Q: In summary, I am so glad to have my Vaporizor and want to treat is as well as possible, and I will appreciate any tips you can give me regarding keeping my unit healthy.
A: We are delighted it works so good for you.  It’s why we brought this invention to the world.
