Aromatherapy has been used by civilizations for thousands of years to help heal and soothe bodies and minds. Today, techniques from the “old world” are being used in much the same way that they were hundreds and thousands of years ago to help people.
In India too Aromatherapy has come a long way since it came in to practice. Aroma therapist, Blossom Kochhar recalls how people would come for a drink when she started her first aromatherapy bar in New Delhi.

Not to forget the ancient Egyptians, they used many essential oils including Frankincense and Myrrh to embalm their dead. It obviously works, as many of their dead survive in excellent condition to today.
